PASQUARELLI ALICE MAY (BOWER) Age 102, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017. Daughter of the late J.O. and Emma Bower. Alice was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul O. and Col. T.K. Bower. Beloved wife of the late Anthony L. Pasquarelli; loving mother of Terry McDonald of Mt. Lebanon and Suzette (Dave) Foster of McMurray; cherished grandmother of Dawn Richardson, David (Megan) Foster and Gretchen (Clay) Foster Caroselli; and great-grandmother of Jordan and McKenzie Richardson and Mia and Jake Foster. Alice graduated from Bellevue High School. In 1939 she married her husband of 72 years, Anthony L. Pasquarelli, who died in 2011. Mr. Pasquarelli was a well known musician, teacher and mentor to his many students. Anthony retired from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004 with the honorary title, Artist-Lecturer Emeritus in Trumpet in the School of Music after 47 years of dedicated service. Alice enjoyed doing volunteer work, reading and painting with watercolors, but her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family. She has resided for the last six years at the Concordia of the South Hills. The family wishes to acknowledge our "Dream Team" of ladies who cared for Alice with such love, devotion and humor for the past three years, Brenda Carter, Allison Friedman and daughter, Taryn, Debbie Cardamone, Joanne Augustine, Janet Stanko, Gwin Reinhold and Val Wilson. You made each day happy and fun for her and she loved all of you. Also, heartfelt thanks to dear friends, Barbara Hepner (her third daughter), Carol and Len Smith, Diane Horn and Judy Nesvisky. Alice will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her…may she rest in peace with her "Darling Tony". Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends and family are welcome at 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray (724-941-3211), on Wednesday from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. in Bower Hill Community Church (everyone please meet at church). Entombment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Family Hospice & Palliative Care, 50 Moffett St., Pittsburgh, PA 15243. Please add tributes at beinhauer.com. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
