STEARNS BETTY J. (VENATTA) Age 92, of Gaithersburg, MD, formerly Upper St. Clair, PA, passed away on August 26, 2015. Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, she graduated with a degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin. Betty spent much of her life enjoying her family, her friends, and social occasions. She loved to play bridge, garden, cook, golf, and travel. Betty had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially dogs. She was a unique individual with a zest for life who could make friends with anyone. She will certainly be missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband, William. She is survived by her children, Barry and his wife, Leslie, of Boston,MA, and Rebecca and her husband, Sean, of Gaithersburg, MD. She is also survived by her grandsons, Zachary and Toly; sister-in-law, Catherine; a nephew; and several nieces. Remembrances may be made in Betty's name to the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society or to the Hospice provider of your choice. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St. Clair. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
