CONLEY Dr. THOMAS L. Of Sitka, AK, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife, Marylyn Burens Conley; his son, Dr. Alexander Conley and his wife, Dr. Alysia Marino of Colorado; his daughter, Anya of Sitka; his sister, Judith Stafford of Pittsburgh; his brother, James of Tampa, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence J. and Margaret McGinley Conley; and his oldest brother, Joseph J. Conley. Tom was born and raised in Pittsburgh and attended South Hills Catholic High School and Duquesne University. He received his medical degree in 1969 from the Pritzer School of Medicine at the University of Chicago. After serving in the Navy, Tom accepted a position with the Public Health Department in Ketchikan, AK, and later moved to Sitka where he was affiliated with SEARHC, the South East Alaska Regional Health Consortium. Tom, who was a board certified pediatrician, served on the State of Alaska Medical Licensing Board and on numerous school boards. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
