KARASEK ROBERT F., Sr. Age 79, a Sewickley resident most of his life, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospice House. He was born in Sewickley on September 1, 1936, to the late Frank S. and Frances M. Karasek. In addition to his parents, on November 18, 2012, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert F. Karasek, Jr.; also preceded by his sister, Dottie Witherspoon; beloved husband for 57 years and high school sweetheart of Lil (Faytik); father-in-law to Bryony (O'Connor) Karasek of England; grandfather of Connor Craig, Eleanor Rose and Megan Lily Karasek of England; brother-in-law of Bob and JoAnn Faytik of Shaler; uncle of Ken Faytik (Kerri) of NC and Scott (Pam) Faytik. Bob was a member of St. James Church, American Legion Post #2, on committee of SCDC (revitalization of Sewickley storefronts) and member of the Parking Authority. In 1944, his mother and father opened the business of Tots N Teens. Upon their retirement in 1969, Bob and Lil purchased it and in 1987, made it a store for women's clothing called Main Line. He loved hunting and fishing, especially with his son, he also enjoyed dabbling in black and white photography and woodworking. Visitation Thursday 6-9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. until time of Blessing Service at 11 a.m. at COPELAND'S SEWICKLEY, 702 Beaver St. Father Thomas Burke, celebrant.
