
MEANS JAMES ROBERT BOB Age 89, of West Mifflin, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on October 29, 2015. He was born in Vanderbilt, PA on April 29, 1926, to Bert and Naomi Means. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Joan Means. He is survived by his son, James (Sue) Means, Jr.; daughter, Carol (Mikhail) Spivak; sister, Dorothy Jeannie (Roger) Keightley; and brother, Terry (Carolyn) Means. Bob was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Bob, Jim, Amy, Laura (David), Linda (Michael), and Michael; as well as his great-grandchildren, Hailey and Jacob. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bert Stuart Means, Jr. Bob was a retired grade school principal from the Brentwood School District. Bob was also very involved at Holy Spirit Church where he led Marriage Enrichment classes as well as being a Eucharistic Minister. Friends will be received on Monday, November 2, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Mass will be conducted at Holy Spirit Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. The family asks that everyone meet at the church.
