BROWN EDWARD W. Age 89, Johnstown, passed away peacefully at his home July 28, 2015. Born January 28, 1926, in Braddock Hills, to the late James and Mary (Downey) Brown. Preceded in death by wife of 65 years, Doris L. Matthews; sister, Eileen Barnes; brothers, James, John, and Thomas Brown. Survived by sons, Robert E. and wife, Sue Ann (Wallace), Texas, James W. and wife, Kathleen (Baranski), Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Kathryn Elizabeth Brown, Rebecca Eileen Meyer and husband, Nathan, both of Dallas; nephews, John E. "Jack" Brown, Jr., Thomas A. Brown; nieces, Mary Ann Brown, Margie Ritson, all of Braddock Hills, Mary B. Kostelec, Harrisburg; great-nephews, Sean and Michael Ritson, Dan Kostelec; great-niece, Jessica Kostelec; great-great-nephew, Beau Ritson; and great-great- niece, Adalynn Rose Ritson. Edward was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed golfing, painting, and was a member of the Windber Country Club. At Edward's request, there will be no viewing or service.
