LONG RONALD E. RON Age 80, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2015,in Port Charlotte. Ron was born on July 26, 1935, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Logan W. and Edna E. Long. Ron served proudly with the U.S. Marine Corps, and moved with his wife, Cheryl C. (Hundley) Long, from their longtime home of Pittsburgh, to Port Charlotte in 1986. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Cheryl; three children, Lisa M. Long, Ronald M. Long, and Laura Roberts, all of Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory are suggested to Tidewell Hospice, Philanthropy Department, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34238.
