HECKMAN EUGENE M. January 6, 1921 - December 22, 2015. On December 22, 2015, age 94, of McCandless, formerly of Brentwood. Gene was married for 37 years to the love of his life, the late Irene Kijak Heckmann. He is survived by four sons, Eugene (Norma), Stephen (Joyce), Richard (Nancy) and Daniel (Julie); 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Gene proudly served his country as an infantry member of the United States Army 3rd Division in World War II, receiving numerous decorations, and was a liberator of the Dachau prison camp. He delighted in his family and was a longtime parishioner of St. Sylvester's parish. Friends will be received at the JOHN F.
