Beloved husband of Mary Porter-Kossler since 1974; loving stepfather of William (Sue) Porter, Kristine (Michael Stercho) Mahan-Stercho and Cynthia Ann Porter; brother of Sara Kossler, Regis (Barbara) Kossler, Donna (the late Bill) Outly, Mary Beth (Staley) McDermott and the late Janice (Pat) Martiere; step-pap of William E. III, Jason, Eric, J.C. and Eva Marie; and 13 step -great-grandchildren. Stephen was a longtime active member of the Sub Vets and was an officer in the Sea Cadets program.
