DELANEY ANNA MAE (O'CONNOR) NANCY Unexpectedly on Saturday, January 9, 2016, age 82, formerly of Highland Park. Beloved wife of 57 years to James T. "Lefty" Delaney; devoted mother of Douglas (Elizabeth), Gerard "Roddy" (Valerie), Mary Ellen (Henry) Mastocesare and the late Neal (survived by Laura); grandmother of nine: Seamus, Jocilyn, Patrick, Caitlin, Molly, Megan, Erin, Maria and Joanna; sister of the late Gerard O'Connor, Margaret McGonigle (Ray), Catherine Miller (Jack) and Helen West (Chuck); daughter of the late Cornelius and Nellie (Molyneaux) O'Connor; also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins. Nancy was a devoted nurse at the VA Hospital, Highland Drive for over 35 years. She was past President of the Shadyside Hospital Social Service Board. Nancy was the ultimate hostess and loved entertaining (and being entertained by) her family, extended family and many, many friends. She was an avid cook, reader, passionate card player and enthusiastic sports fan. She loved her summer home on Conneaut Lake and her winter getaway to Florida and the Gulf Coast's sandy beaches. Friends received at McCABE BROS., INC. FUNERAL HOME, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside, on Thursday, 1-8 p.m., where Funeral will commence on Friday at 9 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raphael Church at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the St. Raphael Angel Fund.
