
GRIEBLING LYNN L. Age 70, Green Bay, formerly of Houston, TX and Milwaukee, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital with family and friends at her bedside. Lynn was born on June 16, 1945, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the now late Winfred and Eleanor (Sennott) Griebling. Lynn was a graduate of Bradford High School, class of 1963. She graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.A. degree in Music and secured her M.A. in Music at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. She completed further study in England and returned to the United States where she sang professionally at venues throughout the nation. She taught vocal music first at Rice University, TX and then at St. Norbert College, WI. Lynn devoted her life to performing music and teaching others. More recently she served as organist at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in De Pere and St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Suamico, WI. Lynn was an extraordinary musician and teacher, beloved by all who knew her. She will be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. Lynn is survived by her immediate family, brother, Neal Griebling, sister-in-law, Beverly Griebling; and cousin, Linda (Klein) Cook. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Ashland Avenue, with Rev. Randal Argall, officiating. A Memorial Concert will also be held in Spring. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to one of the following organizations that were close to her heart: Green Bay East High School, The Fine Arts Institute or JOSHUA, (a local Social Justice Organization).
