
HARTMANN HOWARD G., Jr. Age 80, of Upper St. Clair, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Beloved father of Deborah L. Riley, Valerie L. (Keith) Kindlin, Linda M. (Robert) Stipetich and Lori D. (Kevin) Heenan; loving grandfather of Jackie Removcik, William Anderson, Michael Anderson, Christopher Anderson, Jamie Tesfazion, Thomas Striegel, Zachary Doebler, Sara Heenan, Adam Heenan; brother of the late Jean C. Hartmann and David B. Hartmann; also survived by nine great- grandchildren. Howard was President and owner of Hartmann Associates, Inc. from 1979 until his retirement. He was the Past President of the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors and Founder of the Southwest Chapter of PSLS, member of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Federation of Musicians. He was a longtime trombonist performing with several Pittsburgh Jazz Bands including Benny Benack Band, Benny Benack and the Dodge Kids, Dixie Doc, the Tuesday Night Big Band, and the RedHot Ramblers Dixieland Band. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1-8 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, where Services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
