GENTILE RONALD "RON" JAMES Age 58, of Harrison, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2016, at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Ronald was born November 14, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Thomas J. and Ethel Jane (Wedlock) Gentile. On October 19, 1990, Ron was united in marriage to Ms. Sandra D. Sancrant at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin, Michigan. Ron and Sandra had resided in Harrison since 1991, coming from Gladwin. Mr. Gentile was a member of First Congregational Church UCC of Harrison, where he also served as Lector and was a Diaconate board member. Ron enjoyed going to dinner with the members of the First Congregational UCC LEO Club. Ron was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and MSU fan, along with many other sports teams, college and professional. Ron spent countless hours listening to his radio, whether it was music, news casts or sporting events. Ron will be remembered as a kind, gentle soul. Surviving Ronald is his loving wife of 25 years, Mrs. Sandra D. Gentile of Harrison; one sister, Arlene Preisendefer and husband, Roger of Pittsburgh; three brothers, Thomas Gentile and wife, Eleanor of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, Robert Gentile and wife, Christine of Pittsburgh and Sam Gentile, Sr. and wife, Cheryl also of Pittsburgh; four sisters-in-law, Ramona Tienuieri of Petersburg, Michigan, Barb Nowak of Petersburg, Arlene Samek and Joe Darrell of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Deb Howard and husband, Bob of Adrian, Michigan; two brothers-in-law, Tony Sancrant and wife, Nancy of Harrison and Joe Sancrant and wife, Laura of Temperance, Michigan; many nieces, nephews and a very close friend, Sherry Blain of Harrison. Mr. Gentile was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Sam Gentile, Jr. Funeral services celebrating Ron's life will be held Monday, February 29, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. from First Congregational UCC, 211 West Spruce Street, Harrison, with Pastor Vaughn Peterson officiating. Ron's family will receive visitors on Monday, February 29, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at First Congregational UCC, Harrison.
