PARRISH ALICE EMILY Passed away on Friday evening, April 21, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 13, 1954 in Pennsylvania to Richard Eugene and Mary Elizabeth Evans Parrish. Alice was a licensed contractor who loved flowers and was a Master Gardener. She and her nine year old grandson, Joseph Gavin, were kindred spirits and LOVED doing everything with each other. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her baby brother, Richard E. Parrish and brothers-in-law, Frank Cwiklinski and George Preisinger. Alice is survived by her husband, Chris Cofer; son, Joseph Brian (Amanda Smith Cofer) Cofer; and daughter Kristy Nicole Cofer (Sherry Elizabeth Martin); grandchildren, Joseph Gavin Cofer, Devyn Rylee Smith, Broklyn Nicole Cofer, and Tyson Bradly Martin; sisters, Jane Cwiklinski, Diane Preisinger, Ruth Ann Parrish, Amy (Jim) Dittig; brothers, David (Barbara) Parrish and Preston (Antoinette) Parrish; and cousin, Emily (Steve) Jane Chester; survived by many cousins and numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Jazzy. A memorial service will be held at SALEM FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 120 South Main Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 on Monday, April 24, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will follow the service.
