LACEY WALTER JOSEPH A resident of the Southwest Veterans Center, Highland Dr., Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 23, 2015. Walter is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Heather Caldwell of Eagle River, Alaska; and two grandsons, Ian and Declan Caldwell; older brother, William Stephen Lacey of Florida; younger brother, James of North Carolina; and younger sister, Patricia Zavesky of Florida. A Mass honoring Walter will be held on September 4, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Saint Paul's Cathedral in Oakland. The interment of his cremains at the family plot in St. Martin's Cemetery in the West End follows the Mass. Mr. Lacey graduated from Mount Lebanon High School in 1967 and attended Mount Saint Mary's college in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Walter volunteered to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam War era and was honorably discharged in 1970. Walter is dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
