CEISLER CONSTANCE “CONNIE” AGE...

CEISLER CONSTANCE “CONNIE” Age 88, of Philadelphia, formerly of Washington, PA, died Thursday, September 3, 2015, in Philadelphia after an extended illness. She was born August 7, 1927, in Beaver Falls the daughter of the late Louis and Ella Siegel Levy. Her father died when she was 14 months old and she was raised in McKeesport by her Mother. Mrs. Ceisler had been employed as a teacher at McKeesport High School, St. Hilary Grade School and for the Trinity School District. She was a graduate of Penn State University and received her Master's degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. On June 26, 1955, she married Robert “Bob” Ceisler who died November 29, 2005. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the University of Michigan Law School where he attended. She loved her life in Washington, PA and their friends knew she was joined at the hip with her husband in a storybook marriage. In 2009, she moved to Philadelphia to be closer to her family. She lived in Center City, Philadelphia where she took advantage of the arts and culture and loved to travel to New York to attend Broadway productions. She was a woman of impeccable taste who made friends from every walk of life. She was a member of Sigma Delta Tau Sorority at Penn State from which she maintained lifetime friendships. Mrs. Ceisler was a member of the Washington Hospital Auxiliary, Beth Israel Synagogue, Beth Israel Sisterhood & Hadassah, Pittsburgh Symphony South, Washington & Jefferson Old Main Society, Washington County Democratic Women and the Washington County Lawyers Wives, as well as countless other initiatives. Surviving are her son, Larry Ceisler of Philadelphia; daughter, Gina Ceisler Shapiro of Bala Cynwyd, PA; grandchildren, Daniel and Hannah Ceisler, Carilyn and Nolan Shapiro. Her family was the pride of her life. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in the WARCO-FALVO FUNERAL HOME, INC., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. Rabbi David C. Novitsky will officiate. Burial will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery.
