
ADAMS ARTHUR J. Age 87, of Greenwood, DE, formerly of South Park, PA passed away after a long illness on Monday, August 31, 2015. Art was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Geraldine M. Gerry Adams. Art was retired from his position as Executive Vice President of Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics where he had worked for 42 years. He was the devoted father of April Clyde (formerly Stevens) and his son-in-law, Todd Clyde of Dagsboro, DE. Art is also survived by numerous cousins. He was originally employed as a professional musician and was most known as the accordionist in a trio with Art Yegalo and Frank Natali who played at the Union Grill in Pittsburgh, PA. Art served in the U.S. Air Force for three years as an Air Craft Electrician. He later returned to school in 1980 and graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh. Art was a member of both the Masonic Service Organization of North America and Shriners International for about 60 years. He was deeply devoted to his poodles and in recent years was often sighted walking his white standard poodle, Buddy, at South Park. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Pleasant Hills, PA.
