
YAGEL BOBBIE LEE BROWN Age 85, graduated joyfully to heaven with great anticipation of seeing her Lord face to face, passing peacefully on August 27, 2015, surrounded by her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Archer Brown; her sister, Erla Dunton Holloway; and her mother, Erla Ranson Brown. Bobbie attended Patrick Henry Elementary, Bainbridge Junior High, and John Marshall High School, receiving her B.A. from Westhampton College of the University of Richmond where she served as co-editor of the college newspaper. Following graduation, Bobbie scripted industrial movies, authored magazine articles, spoke nationwide on marriage and relationships, and served as the Director of Christian education at St. Giles Presbyterian Church for a number of years. After moving to Pennsylvania, Bobbie taught a weekly women's Bible study, ministering to some 200 women for 14 years. As an outgrowth of that teaching, she authored three books, Living with Yourself and Other Imperfect People, Building Better Relationships, and 15 Minutes to Build a Better Marriage. Bobbie enjoyed 63 loving years of marriage to Myron Yagel, with the added blessing of three wonderful children and their spouses, J. Craig Yagel, Ph.D. and Denise, Stephen Thomas Yagel and Beth, and Wendy Lee and Jeff Watros. Her family was made complete by six much-loved grandchildren and one precious great-grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 5200 Grove Avenue, Richmond, VA on Friday, September 11, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., with a reception following at the church.
