DOROTHY JEAN WILSON Age 83, a lifelong resident of Coraopolis, passed away on June 26, 2019. Dorothy was born on December 23, 1935 daughter of the late Albert and Hannah Massena. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, James and Robert Massena. She is survived by her two children, Beth (Pastor Dennis) Lawrence, N. Fayette Township and Fred (Pat) Schmidt, Bloomington IL and five grandchildren, Denae, Rebecca Lawrence, Rachel (Richard) Bright, Scott and Eric Schmidt. Dorothy was a loving mother / grandmother and loved her family tremendously. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was on the council and a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Coraopolis. She worked at the Coraopolis Tax office for many years. Dorothy was kindhearted and hardworking. She was the awesome, loving mom of Marty (Gladys) Matelan, Michelle (Joe) Lagnese, and Nick (Jen) Matelan; super proud Grandma Jane to Jeremy, Emily, Nicholas, Jacob, Joey, Anna, and Emma; best sister and cousin to Ruthanne Barclay and Betty (Jack) Steele. Her unmatchable kindness, fairness, and compassion was also shared with a vast group of nieces, nephews, in-laws, neighbors, co-workers, and friends, with Eileen Zottola being the best of them all. Jane was retired from the Hampton Twp. School District. She loved cheeseburgers, potato chips, the beach, Judge Judy, Captain Morgan, The Ellen Show, Frosted Flakes, taking care of her family, dog sitting, and giving the gift of Anna Bear. We will miss her with all of our hearts, but we are all better people for knowing her. She taught us strength, patience, and humor as she fought this terrible battle. WALTER JOHN RICHARD, III "JACK" Age 70, of Pleasant Hills, passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on Sunday, June 23, 2019. He was born May 1, 1949 to the late Walter J. Richard, Jr. and the late Alberta "Jean" Richard. Jack was the beloved husband of Deborah (Slogan) Richard for 44 years; dedicated father of Stacey (Paul) Gaudelli of Venetia and Shawn (Dana) Richard of Baldwin; proud Pap to Samantha and Emma Gaudelli and Lorelai Richard; brother of Robert C. (Constance) Richard of Jefferson Hills and David J. (Patricia) Richard of North Carolina and the most caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jack was a lover of life and a helping hand to all. He was extremely involved in raising money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. For over 28 years, he was a top fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and participated in their 150 mile bike race annually. Jack always kept himself busy. He loved the outdoors and spent every chance he could biking, hunting and fishing. The only thing he loved more was the cherished moments spent with his grandbabies. He was a devoted member of Holy Angels Catholic Parish and spend decades volunteering at their annual fish fry fundraiser. Jack was the friend who had a gift for always doing and saying the right thing, no matter what the situation. He will be extremely missed by anyone who crossed his path. There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date to cherish the memories of his time. JOHN LOKES, JR. His loving wife, Theresa survives John after many years of serenity, love and peace. The beginning and the end of his life began and ended with Theresa. There was no prior only the present and future as we lived it, and now as we pass on to our other life, separately to meet some day in the hereafter. John died at the age of 93, after spending a lifetime pursuing his first love as a Structural Engineer. He unknowingly began his career when he built his first balsam wood airplane, while still in fourth grade and followed that course until his death, still practicing as a Licensed Structural Engineer. After high school, John served two years in the active U.S. Navy during WWII with the amphibian forces abroad an LST where he participated in the liberation of Leyte in the Philippians Islands and later took part in the landing and invasions of Okinawa and Is Shima in the Ryukyu Islands of Japan. Upon discharge from active duty John served four years with the U.S. Navy reserve while attending school in preparation for his career and life thereafter. Beloved husband of Theresa A. Lokes; loving father of Richard Lokes, Mary Eckman, Georgianna Duarte and David Lokes; cherished grandfather of seven and greatgrandfather of nine. Corey was a respectful, caring young man with a fantastic sense of humor and striking smile. He brought cheer to his family and friends often teasing that he was the favorite child. He truly had a selfless heart-of-gold, helping anyone in any way he could. Corey had a strong love for his family. He chose to set his own life on hold to stay with and take care of his 92-year-old grandmother. He deeply grieved her recent passing. At such a young age, Corey left a profound impact on family and friends that is everlasting. Parting prayers will be held Saturday 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.
