MARTHA TREEMARCKI Age 97, of Stowe Twp., passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, March 15, 2020, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late James Treemarcki; dear mother of Gary (late Carol) Treemarcki, Rick (Susan) Treemarcki, and the late Audrey (surviving spouse Steve) Stasik; grandmother of Craig Stasik, Janelle (Craig) Weber, Terry Treemarcki, and Erica Treemarcki; great-grandmother of Katlyn (Ben) Gregg, Laura Pollick, Sophia Weber, Alec Weber, and Sophie Treemarcki; great-great-grandmother of Max Gregg; also survived by nieces and nephews, and other family members. JOSEPHINE FRANCES STRAZISAR Age 102, of Gibsonia, passed peacefully on March 17, 2020 at the Arbors of St. Barnabas in Valencia. Jo was born on January 30, 1918 on a farm in Hampton Township to immigrant parents, the late George and Frances Niedermaier Gierl. After graduation from Etna High School, Jo worked at Shaws General Store in Gibsonia, where she met her husband, the late Frank Strazisar. They had two sons, Robert and David. Soon afterward, Jo accepted a position at the Gibsonia Post Office, where she worked until her retirement 22 years later. After retiring, Jo stayed active in many organizations, among them St. Catherine of Sweden Ladies Guild, Meals on Wheels, Wexford AARP, Richland Garden Club, and National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE). She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, her father and mother, and three brothers and six sisters. Jo is survived by son, Robert (Rose), David (late Anne), both of Erie, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A private viewing for immediate family will be held at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LTD., Bakerstown, followed by a private Mass of Christian Burial and interment. ELSA (DiLORENZO) COLLINGER Age 93, passed away on March 17, 2020 in Valencia, Pennsylvania. Elsa was born in San Pietro Avellana, Italy to Lesina and Oliver DiLorenzo on September 1, 1926. She immigrated to the United States at the age of two. She later married “Bloomfield's most eligible bachelor,” Barney Collinger, on March 31, 1948, and dedicated 30 years to helping him grow Collinger's Furs into Collinger's Furs and Fashions. Barney and Elsa's proudest accomplishment, however, was their two sons, Al and George. Elsa's servant spirit found her on staff at both St. Sebastian Church and St. Theresa of Avila Church for more than 20 years. Her selfless nature was also evident in the way she cared for her ailing husband and parents. When not doing for others, Elsa enjoyed traveling, antiquing, reading, gardening and the company of her sister, Nina. Elsa was preceded in death by her husband, Barney; sister, Nina; and sister, Licia. Elsa is survived by her sons, Al (Martha) Collinger, George (Lisa) Collinger, as well as six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A prayer service will be held on March 19, 2020 at 11 a.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp., with Rev. Charles Bober celebrating. The private family burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Squirrel Hill. A “Celebration of Life” gathering is being planned by the family for this coming September. RONALD SINER On Saturday, March 14, 2020, Ronald Siner, age 46, of Avalon, passed after a long, complicated illness. He is survived by his mother and father, Holly and Kim Anderson of Avalon; sisters, Cheri (Ed Hippo) Berry of Newton, PA and Jamie (James) Hadaway; brothers, William (Bernadette) Siner of Lakeland, FL and Kim Anderson of Pittsburgh, PA; also by eight nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. MARVEL F. (FERGUSON) WAMSLEY Marvel F. (Ferguson) Wamsley, age 94, of Hampton Twp., passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, with family at her side. Born December 1, 1925, in Hampton Township, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Burdella (King) Ferguson. She married James Ray Wamsley on May 14, 1949, at the Wildwood Presbyterian Church. They were married for 41 years when he passed away on May 14, 1990. Marvel was a member of Hampton Presbyterian Church and AARP. She did data entry part time for the Butler Auto Auction for more than 32 years. She enjoyed golf and was on a Traveling League for 20 years. She also was an avid musician, playing piano and organ throughout her life. She is survived by her daughter, Lori W. Jones and her husband, Scott, of Valencia; son, Scott Raymond Wamsley, of Hampton Township; daughter-in-law, Teresa Wamsley, of Butler; four grandchildren, Jes Wamsley and her fiancé, Rich Crowner, Carl Laneave and his wife, Jess, Nick Wamsley and his companion, Lana Ishka, Mariah Jones and her fiancé, Ian Reitemeyer; three great-grandchildren, Parker Laneave (10), Declan Laneave (6) and Riley Crowner (5); sisters, Grace Thornton, of Zelienople; and Velma and Bruce Ault, of Greenville, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Edward J. Wamsley and brothers, Elmer and Wendel Ferguson. KATHERINE R. GORNICK "KATE" Of Trafford, formerly of Braddock Hills, age 54, on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at home surrounded by family and friends after a seven year valiant battle with metastatic breast cancer without complaint. Daughter of the late Art and Marilyn (Wilson) Gornick; adored sister of Art (late Cathy) of Reserve, Dan of Bethel Park, Carol (John “Piny”) Wallace of Trafford; proud aunt of Matt (Jayme), Ava, Nolan and Grace Gornick. Kathy was a 1983 graduate of Swissvale Area High School and earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Management at Robert Morris College. She was a four year member of the girls varsity softball and basketball teams. Retired after 26 years with the US Postal Service beginning in 1988 as a mail carrier then as a Postal Police Officer at the Pittsburgh P & DC in North Side. After retirement, she enjoyed the winters at her home in Bradenton, FL by going to the beach and golfing. She had a quick wit, infectious smile and made everyone laugh. Her positive attitude, perseverance, and faith in God made her an inspiration to all. He was born October 28, 1962 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Napolean and Magnolia Anderson. Delvon worked as a System Analyst for the University of Pittsburgh, and was a beloved husband to Michelle Anderson, devoted father to Isaac, Seth, Jeshua and Jocelyn Anderson of Bridgeville, loving brother to Stacey Gallaway of White Oak, and uncle to Michon Gallaway. PATRICIA BEAHAN "PATTI" Age 52, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Scranton, died on Friday evening at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, after a fierce ten-year battle with cancer. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late James J. Beahan and Ann L. Pedley Beahan, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her varied careers included work as a Pet Care provider for the Good Dog Club, a Loss Prevention Manager at Boscov's, and most recently, as a restaurant server at The Cafe at The Frick. Infused with a wanderlust that the outdoors and adventures could satisfy, Patti backpacked through Nicaragua, Iceland and countless National Parks across the USA, trips expertly planned by Thed Weeks, who made it all happen. She gave her time and spirit generously, volunteering for such amazing organizations as Venture Outdoors, where she led Wednesday Wake Up and Paddle! Kayak tours, the American Red Cross, and fueled by her passion for cycling and a just cause, Spokes of Hope, a fund raising organization for those affected by cancer, participating in a ride across Iowa called RAGBRAI. Forever grounded in a loving family and abiding friendships, Patti is survived by her six siblings and their spouses, multiple nieces and nephews, her network of family-like friends from Pittsburgh, who provided unlimited support and care throughout her journey, including principal caregivers, Bill Shirey and Wendy Grace, as well as Kelly Uranker (Bill's wife), Jeff and Christine Chopp, Angel and Tom Baney, Stacey Bloom, Terri Iwinski, and Dawn Smigo. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Beahan. A memorial service will be held at a future date in Scranton, and a celebration of life will take place at the UU Church in Shadyside, Pittsburgh, at a date to be announced. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Langan, brother, Frank Erwin and sister-in-law, Margret Erwin of Dallas, TX, brother and sister-in-law Thomas Langan and Lois Langan of McKeesport, brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Mary Berquist of Detroit, MI. She is survived by sons, Jim (Mikel Lynn) of Johnstown and Patrick Langan of McKeesport, nephews, Dave Erwin and Mark Erwin of Austin, TX, Jeff (Terry) Erwin of Fort Worth, TX and their children, Erin Erwin of Chicago, Curtis Erwin of Denver, CO, Thomas (Stephanie) Erwin of Dallas and their children, Gabriel and Samantha, Cindy (Ian) Larsen of Dallas, TX, Bob (Maureen) Berquist of Mulberry, FL, Carl (Bobbie) Berquist of Vienna, VA, Nora (Matty) Moroun of Gross Point Shores, Donald (Kathy) Berquist of Troy, MI, Jimmy (Cathy) Berquist of Gross Pointe Farms, MI and many nieces and nephews. She graduated 4th in her class of 735 people from McKeesport High School and received her teaching degree from Indiana State Teachers college (now IUP) going on to receive a master's degree in education from Penn State. She taught first, second, and fourth grade at Mifflin School in Pittsburgh for 13 years then retired to raise two children. She worked as a lifeguard at the McKeesport YMCA where she rescued a man by using CPR and received a Christmas card from him for the rest of his life. Never one to stay still she took a course in computers when PCs first became popular and turned it into a second career. She taught for 15 years at CCAC South Campus, working in the computer lab and educating students in Intro to Computers. She further developed a Page Maker course writing the curriculum and a book for the course. She enjoyed teaching, flea markets, estate sales, collecting Depression glass and Ethan Allen Furniture, mystery books, and Downton Abbey. Friends will be received in the HUNTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. KENNETH W. HINKELMAN Of Plum, age 77, on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, was called to heaven to be with his beloved wife of 54 years, Martha ‘Marti' (Churchfield) Hinkelman who died on December 20, 2019. Loving father of Kelly (Jim) Carrig of Ligonier, Karin (Dan) Whigham of Monroeville and Kori (Brian) Essig of Albion; precious grandfather of Tony Hinkelman, Hunter, Mason and Neena Essig; brother of Alan (Ruth) Hinkelman of Mt. Lebanon and Linda (Alan) Turner of West Mifflin. Ken was a 1961 graduate of East Pittsburgh High school and a 1965 graduate of Theil College. He was a member of the basketball team at each school. Ken began his professional career as an accountant with Heinz. Then after education in the new field of computer technology, his career path traveled to Alcoa, Allegheny Ludlum and finally as a consultant with Robert DePaul and Associates. Ken was a man of strong faith and was a member of the former Hebron Lutheran Church in East Pittsburgh and currently was a member of Christ's Lutheran Church in Murrysville. He loved to take Marti on rides in either his 2008 Corvette or on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Ken also was a Lionel Train collector. He had a permanent train layout in his basement and loved to take his children, then grandchildren, to model train shows. He also was a huge fan of Pittsburgh sports teams, as he and Marti were former Steeler season ticket holders. The family will be having a private visitation and service. A Memorial Service in the Christ's Lutheran Church will be announced in the future. Ken will be laid to rest in Hankey /Christ's Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements with PATRICK T. DONALD J. ABBOTT Of Brookline, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Aleene Abbott, and two sons, Alan J. and Grant J. Abbott. Donald is survived by his son, Kevin (Edna) Abbott, three granddaughters, Amanda (Ryan) Mahaffey, Elizabeth (Nicholas) Quaglia, and Cynthia Abbott, and great-grandchildren, Grayson and Scarlett Mahaffey and Aria and Penelope Quaglia. Donald is also survived by numerous friends and family members. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree. Donald was also very active in his church, Church of the Resurrection. He was a Finance Minister, Eucharist Minister, and CCD Teacher. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Services and Interment Private.
