HOHNBAUM CARL Age 81, of Allison Park, PA, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2018. Carl was born on August 7, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri to Annabelle and Walter Hohnbaum. He was a proud 1958 graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in business and public administration. He was a first lieutenant, US Army artillery on active duty for two years and in the reserve for six years when he was honorably discharged. He married the love of his life, Ann Hohnbaum, in 1962 and they had three children, Clayton, Cory, and Cynda. He was fortunate after Ann died in 2003 to meet Clara Arcuri who was his companion and best friend until his passing. Carl had a distinguished career in the securities industry for over 40 years. He held senior management positions at securities firms in Kansas City, Houston and Pittsburgh. His leadership ability and the respect of his peers resulted in him holding a number of leadership positions in the industry. He was Chairman of the following organizations: The Community Development Block Grant Program in Overland Park, KS, the National Association of Securities Dealers District 4 National Business Conduct Committee, the South Central District of the Securities Industry Association and the National Association of Securities Dealers Business Conduct Committee. He was a member of the Wildwood Golf Club, the Pittsburgh Stock & Bond Association and Memorial Park Presbyterian Church. While Carl was an accomplished and successful businessman, nothing brought him more joy than his children and grandchildren. He was a coach of many sports teams while his children were growing up and was an active and engaged grandfather to his six grandchildren. He loved being with and supporting his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed watching their many and varied sporting events. In addition to his wife Ann, Carl was predeceased by his brother, Walter and his first child, Clayton. He is survived by his companion, Ms. Arcuri; his two children, Cory Hohnbaum and his wife, Katherine of Charlotte, NC, and Cynda and her husband, Doug Robbins of Wexford, PA; and six grandchildren, Katy, Ashley, Evan, and Ty Robbins and Graham and Nathan Hohnbaum. MONTGOMERY THOMAS FRANCIS Age 85, a longtime resident of Shaler, passed peacefully on Tueday, March 20, 2018. Beloved husband of Elinor (Berry) Montgomery; and brother of Rita McGrath (deceased) and Donald; devoted father of Robert, Patricia, Lisa (Chodkowski), and Mary (Greiff). Thomas was the proud grandfather of Thomas Dobson, Lauren, Alyssa, Sara, and Olivia Chodkowski, and Rachel and Joshua Greiff. After graduating Schenley Class of 1951, he joined the Army National Guard during the Korean conflict, then furthered his education at Pitt. Tom moved into an upstart industry called computers and was a longtime business manager for leaders in the field. Never retiring, Tom had a full life dividing his time between entrepreneurial endeavors, athletic affiliations, and volunteer activities. Tom was instrumental in the creation of the Middle Road Baseball Association and the girl's Shaler Soccer Club, coaching football, baseball, basketball, softball, and soccer over the many years. Volunteer roles included: Shaler Township Planning Commission (36 years) - Emeritus Chairman, Pine Creek Water Shed Committee, Rotary Masons - Past Master, Shriners, O.L. Vereins and the Schenley HS Class Reunion Committee. Tom was a master scuba diver, softball player, and enjoyed photography, skiing, and golf. He also cherished spending time with his family and listening to his grandchildren's music. A special thank you to Dr. Richard Bruehlman, Dr. Brian Zimmer, and the medical teams of Renaissance Family Practice and Fresenius Shaler Plaza.
