SEGER DONALD LEROY Age 84, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Punxsutawney, passed away suddenly on August 7, 2018. He is survived by his beloved children, Teryl (Jim) McCaffrey, Lori (David) Demetrio, and Donn (Shirley) Seger; grandchildren, Master Sgt. Justin (Arwen) McCaffrey, Lauren (Daniel) Vereb, Brooke (Matthew) Betton, Dr. Maria Seger, Tim (Brittany) Demetrio, Chelsea McCaffrey, and Monica Seger; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Norma (the late Robert) Jack, Della (the late Arthur) Underwood, Richard (Kathy) Segar, and Linda (William) Reay; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Claudette (Todd) Seger; parents, Russell and Geraldine Seger; and siblings, William Segar and Annabelle Seger. Don was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with them and traveling around the country. The Alaska Journey with his grandchildren will remain a cherished memory. He proudly served in the US Army before starting a 42 year career as a mechanic for LTV Steel. MINFORD PATRICIA (PAT) KUGLER Age 81, of Dade City, FL, formerly of Elizabeth Twp., died August 5, 2018, at Dade City Hospital. Born March 17, 1937, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph E. and Mary (Kanda) Kugler. She is survived by her husband of almost 59 years Robert (Minnie) R. Minford. Patricia was retired from the former Housing Opportunities in McKeesport, where she worked as a secretary. She was a member of St. Michael's Church of Elizabeth Twp. and St. Joseph's Church in Zephyrhills, FL. She also was a member of the Senior Group out of Boston, PA. Pat dedicated her life to caring for her family and was affectionately known as "Grammy" to her four grandsons. She especially enjoyed attending and following all their sporting events. Pat also enjoyed taking cruises with her husband after her retirement. In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by her children, Susan M. (Jon) Spate of Rostraver Twp., PA and Robert (Amy) Minford of Collierville, TN; grandsons, Andrew (Jessica) Spate and Zachary Spate, Ryan Minford and Alex Minford; sister, Mary Jane (Russell) Piovesan of Huntingtown, MD; Godmother to, Russell Piovesan of Huntingtown, MD and Bill Chontos of Beaver, PA; also many nieces and nephews. MARCUS ALAN RICHARD On Thursday, August 9, 2018, dearly beloved husband of the late Linda G. Marcus of Pittsburgh; venerated father of Susan Marcus Jacobson of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, Joel Cassel Marcus of Tacoma, WA; grandfather of Elodie Grace Jacobson, Blaise Yael Jacobson and Sonja Gadis Marcus, all of whom remain inspired by his steadfast devotion to his wife who passed March 6, 2018. Predeceased by his parents, Barnett Marcus and Rose Weisz Marcus; survived by sister, Jeanne Winston of Sarasota, FL. Born in Beaver Falls, PA, Dick Marcus graduated from Shadyside Academy and Brown University and received a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. He pursued a business career, and for 46 years operated General Materials Terminals, a trans-loading facility on the 20th mile of the Ohio River, which was begun and built by his father, Barney, a Lithuanian-born entrepreneur who started as a preteen selling scrap metal, expanded and built a sand and gravel operation which later became both General Materials Terminals and Littell Steel, both of Greater-Pittsburgh. Dick had a prodigious knowledge of the waterways of North America and maintained a lifelong interest in the Ohio River basin, its industry, people, and significance in the American industrial landscape. During the 1970s, Dick Marcus channeled his other passion, for U.S. history, the American Constitution and our Bill of Rights, as an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh in the Administration of Justice Department, where he both taught and embraced the lessons learned from in-service law enforcement agents in his courses on U.S. Constitutional Law. He was the loving husband for 61 happy years of Bernadette “Bea” Puskaric; the loving father of Gregory (Marlene) Puskaric and Connie M. Bedont; grandfather of Melanie (Rob) Vitous, Eric (Lauren) Bedont, Tommy (Hayley) Puskaric and Lynette (Logan) Puskaric; the “G-Pa” of five great-grandchildren, Gavin, Sloan, and Fiona Puskaric and Dylan and Trevor Bedont; and is also survived by nieces and nephews.
