GLASER RONALD JOSEPH Age 65, Avalon, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Ronald is the husband of Darlene "Dolly" Glaser with whom they celebrated 47 years of marriage; loving father to Angela Yow and ?ancé Shane Wellerdick; life long friend Chris Costa, and also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Aloysius and Helen (Lugaila) Glaser; brothers, Sonny, Chuck; and a sister, Patsy Lodge.   Ronald was long time shop manager at AJ Drgon and Associates. BOCKSTOCE JERRY Age 66, of Washington, unexpectedly, on Sunday, February 24, 2019. Beloved husband of Cathie Bockstoce; loving father of Michele (Larry) Jones, Jerry Michel Bockstoce and Kristopher (Tina) Bockstoce; dear brother of Barbara (Walter) Stein and Frank (Janet) Bockstoce; cherished Pap of Kaitlin, Aidan, Colt, Gavin, Tristan and Chase. Also survived by many adored nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. Son-in-law of Nancy Dias and the late William Dias. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank R. and Martha Mae Bockstoce. Jerry retired as a baker from Pati Petite in 2014 after 43 years. He was a member of the Arms Club, American Legion Post #175 and the SNPJ Lodge #6. He coached little league baseball for several years in Lone Pine. He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, making wine, hunting, camping, going to the beach, betting on the dogs at Wheeling Downs, but especially spending time with his grandchildren. BESONG DAVID ALLEN "DADO" Age 65, of McKees Rocks, gave so much of himself to others until there was no more to give. Dado lost his battle with cancer on February 25, 2019 and has joined his mother and loved ones in heaven. He is now free of pain and driving his Corvette on country roads. He was born October 1, 1953 in Sewickley, PA to the late William E. and Viola (Sharf) Besong. He was one of ten children, attended Quaker Valley Schools and resided in McKees Rocks. He was a salvage yard operator for Trapp and Webb Salvage Yard, McKees Rocks. Dado is survived by his siblings, Kathy (Dennis) Swarmer of Beaver Falls, Beverly (James) Rupert of Emsworth, Janet (Jack) Crain of New Kensington, Darla Besong of New Castle, William (Carolee) Besong of Ambridge, Gerald Besong of Fair Oaks, Hugh (Nancy) Besong of Ohioville, Jay (Lori) Besong of Fair Oaks, Steven Besong of Fair Oaks; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; close friends, Debbie (Armond) Trapuzzano, Puff McCarthy, Paul Goerman, and Terry Soman. HABRAT WILLIAM J. Age 94 of the South Side passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 24, 2019. H u s b a n d o f t h e l a t e R o s e M a r i e ( K r a p p w e i s ) H a b r a t ; beloved father of Dennis (Lois) Habrat and the late William (survived by Donna) Habrat; grandfather of Tammy Lantz, Matthew (Melissa) Habrat, Jennifer (Bradley) Farabaugh, Brittany (Christopher) Holzapfel; also four great-grandchildren; brother of the late Stanley, Milton, Helen and Edward Habrat; also many loving nieces and nephews. The majority of his service was on the USS Calvert. He participated in many significant WWII battles, including North Africa, Sicily, Makin Island, Gilbert Island, Kwajalein Atoll, Saipan, Tinian and the Marianas, Leyte and Luzon, and Kiro Wan, Japan. He served on the Calvert until it went out of commission. The Calvert received many awards and Decorations including the Navy Unit Commendation, WWII Victory Medal, The Philippines Liberation Medal with two stars and Korean Service Medal with two stars. During his Navy career, he volunteered as a sea diver. His devotion to the military extended to nearly consistent attendance at the USS Calvert reunions and greater than 25 years of volunteering at the VA ceramics department. He collected thousands of dollars for the VA by collecting aluminum cans for more than 25 years. His life of service included, volunteering with St. Michael's Church and Passion Play, St. Paul of the Cross Monestary and by helping everyone he encountered. Dedicating 23 years of her life as a Chaplain at Country Meadows, Joan was known for her compassionate heart and listening ear to help those in time of need. GEER FAITH WESTON "MOMDUCK" Passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on February 26, 2019, after a year-long battle with stage 4 melanoma. Momduck is survived by her three children, Kelly (Chris Williams), Nathan (Colby Croft), and Natalie (Josh Caslow). Alumnus of Hoover High School, Ohio Wesleyan University, and Pittsburgh University. Faith spent most of her time serving others - whether it was encouraging her children to follow their dreams, teaching gifted kids at Shaler Area Schools, developing strategic plans for churches, volunteering at the Nyadire Mission in Zimbabwe, or her involvement at the district level of the United Methodist Church as an Annual Conference Delegate and active member of the Reconciling Ministries Network. Since 2000, Faith served as the Administrative Director at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Allison Park, PA. In this role, she had daily visibility to a number of organizations that help people in need. She was born on October 30, 1930, in Homestead and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Bires) Yacko. Eleanor was a longtime employee of Ashland Oil, Inc. in Pittsburgh and was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Munhall. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her two brothers, John Fedorko and Albert Yacko; and ?ve sisters, Helen Schreiner, Annie Tokey, Margaret Nedzinski, Mildred DiSilvestro and Mary Yacko. BUSSE MAGDELINE P. "MAGGIE" (POGOZELEC) Age 78, of Ben Avon, peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Beloved wife of 54 years to John C. Busse; loving mother of Amelia (Eric) Cheever, John Paul Busse, Claire (Jack Tabor) Busse and Emily (Kevin) Schwartz; grandmother of Abigail, Kristen, Fiona, Ramsey, Phoebe and Cyrus; sister of Bernard and Michael Pogozelec; also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many honorary children who needed a place to stay. Maggie was a music and science teacher at St. Albert the Great in Baldwin, then at Sacred Heart in Emsworth and Sacred Heart in Shadyside. An active member of Sacred Heart Church, she was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary and Liturgy Committee and sang in the choir and the Diocesan Choir. She served her community as Past President of the Avon Club, co-chair of the Ben Avon Bicentennial Committee, Past President of the Carlow College Alumni Association, and member of the Women's Literary Society of Bellevue. She loved music and being in and teaching about nature. She also loved to laugh and entertain, providing a warm and welcoming home for anyone that came into her life. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all that knew her. She was born to the late James and Ethel Cottrell and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Muner; and her children, Joseph and Michael Muner. McCAGUE EDWARD JOSEPH, JR . Age 94, on Monday, February 25, 2019. Beloved husband of 68 years to Genevieve (McSwigan) McCague; loving father of Edward J. McCague, III (Mary) of Lakewood, NY, Kathryn McCague Pease of Charleston, SC, Margaret McCook McCague of Aspinwall, and Joan, daughter; cherished grandfather of Sonja Sigmund Tutwiler (Rick), Eric Rolf Siegmund and Genevieve Virginia Sims. Ed was a proud veteran of WW II, during which time he served in the Army Air Corps. He was a test pilot of the P 40, and eventually ?ew gliders over enemy lines in Europe. He was very supportive of veterans, and spent many of his retirement years volunteering   at the local VA. He was retired from Kennywood Park, where for   many years, he happily was the VP of sales.   Friends received Friday, March 1st from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall, where a parting prayer will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m., at St. Scholastica Church, Aspinwall. STEWART LARRY EDWARD Age 58 years old of Cuddy, South Fayette Twp., died suddenly Sunday, February 24, 2019 in his home. Born May 17, 1960 in Pittsburgh, son of the late James Stewart and Betty Williamson Stewart, who survives. He was a member of Gladden UP Church, Masonic Lodge F&AM, a ?re?ghter of the South Fayette Twp.Vol Fire Dept. for 40+ years and was 2nd LT. for many years. He enjoyed hunting, ?shing, and woodworking. He voluntarily coached South Fayette Twp. football, baseball, and girls softball. He was one of the original organizers of the South Fayette School District Food and Gift Drive. He loved the traditions created by family, and would do anything for family at anytime. He was a Supervisor and Equipment Operator for Univar- Weavertown Environmental, Cecil Twp. and previously operated J&S Excavating. He was a master and mechanic of heavy equipment. Surviving are wife, Debi Stewart of Cuddy; son, Michael (companion, Seana Bandi) Stewart of Carnegie; daughter, Leah (Eric) Schnelzer of McDonald; son, Cody J. Stewart; and daughter, Linsey Stewart both of Cuddy; grandchildren, Johnathan, Corey, and Savannah; sister, Sharon (Jamie) Schidek of Carnegie; brother, Albert (Donna) Fiorentini of Bridgevill;, two brothers- in-law, Michael McAndrew of Murfreesboro, TN, and Shawn McNamara of Haines, AK; mother-in-law, Garnet McNamara of Scott Twp.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Susan McAndrew; and father-in-law, Jerry McNamara. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the COLEMAN-TAYLOR FUNERAL SERVICES , 3378 Millers Run Road (Rt.50) Cecil, PA. where services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Private interment will be at a later date. DAVIS GENEVIEVE (VANCE) Quietly on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, Genevieve Vance Davis of North Braddock and Emlenton passed into life eternal. She was born in North Braddock on Monday, New Year's Eve, December 31, 1934. She is survived by her children, Matthew Allan (Judy Ann) Davis, Sr., of Cowansville, Barbara (Paul) Osborne of Providence Rhode Island, Norm Davis of North Braddock, Joan (late Ray) Aiello of Forest Hills, Charles (Myra) David of West Mif?in, and Richard (Kashina) Davis of North Huntingdon; 12 grandchildren; six great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John of North Huntingdon, Louise (late Morris) Fertell of Anancock,Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Agnes Hovanec Vance; and her late husband, Charles “Harley Charley” Davis. He died on May 25, 2015, her son, John (1960); a grandson, Matt Davis (2009); a granddaughter, Christine Davis (2018); and her siblings, John, George and Christine Vance. Calling hours with the family will be on Thursday, February 28, 2019, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., in the SCHLEIFER FUNERAL CHAPEL, INC., (412-271-1361) 534 Jones Avenue, North Braddock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Emlenton on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Big Bend Cemetery, Emlenton.
