WALSH THOMAS JOSEPH Age 93, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 31, 2018. He was born March 10, 1925, in Glassport, and was the son of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Altmiller) Walsh. He was the husband of the late Nancy Rae (Brady) Walsh who died December 7, 2007. Thomas was a member of St. Angela Merici Parish in White Oak, Knights of Columbus Council No. 10077 Elizabeth, and was a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul. He was a member, president, and business agent for IBW Local 1919 for over 40 years. Thomas was a Father Figure to many. He was a US Army Air Force veteran of WWII. For his service he received the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star. He is survived by daughters, Stephanie L. Walsh of McKeesport, Kathleen A. Burd of Elizabeth Twp.; son, Timothy J. (Mary E.) Walsh of Niceville, FL; grandchildren, Kelly M. Walsh, Eileen R. Walsh, Anna M. Walsh, Zachary D. Burd, and Shauna M. Burd; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Thomas Leo Walsh; and brothers and sisters including Mary Lou, Eileen, and Michael. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 5, 2018, at 10 a.m. in St. Angela Merci Parish. The Rev. Thomas Wagner will officiate. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
