SAUNDERS PAMELA (VON PLINSKY) Of Churchill, PA and formerly of Murrysville, PA, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015, at her home and surrounded by family. She was the eldest child of the late Margaret and Frederick Von Plinsky. She is survived by her husband, Howard Saunders; sons, Aleister (Nomi) Saunders of Philadelphia, PA, Timothy (Aletia) Saunders of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Lev, Atara, Eden, Tynan and Katheryn Saunders; siblings, Dave (Tere), Michael, and Chris Von Plinsky, Wendy (Patrick) O'Donnell, Rachel (Daniel) Krantz; nieces and nephews, Rebecca and Harrison Krantz, and Matthew O'Donnell. Pam's insatiable curiosity was matched by her warmth and kindness. A veteran of the US Army Reserve and a two-time graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (BA in English Literature and an MBA), Pam had a distinguished professional career as a financial analyst beginning at Gulf Oil, followed by Mellon Bank, and the Forbes Health System. Pam was very active in the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh, eventually serving as treasurer and co-President. A person with an immense number of interests, Pam was an avid reader, an active book club member, a skilled sewer, and an accomplished computer enthusiast.
