CARDILLO JOHN F. Age 89, of Oakdale, South Fayette Twp., died Sunday, November 18, 2018, in his home. He was born August 8, 1929, in Oakdale, a son of the late Beneditto and Columbia DeFanto Cardillo. Mr. Cardillo was a retired operating engineer for Construction Local #66 and was a US Army veteran. He enjoyed working with heavy equipment, hunting, bird watching and spending time with his family. Surviving are his children, Linda Panone of VA, Danny (Carol) Cardillo, Jeffrey Cardillo and Ray (Debbie) Cardillo, all of Oakdale. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Ray Cardillo (2017); sisters, Virginia Socha and Thresa Sailer; and brothers, Julius, Henry, Albert, Ben, Mike and Andrew Cardillo. Friends will be received Friday 4-8 p.m., in the THOMAS-LITTLE FUNERAL SERVICE, INC., 5000 Noblestown Road, Oakdale (724-693-2800) where funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
