KULAK LARUE (MCCLELLAND) BORN ...

KULAK LaRUE (McCLELLAND) Born February 3, 1927, age 88, on Sunday, July 26, 2015, surrounded by her family and pets, listening to her favorite music, the beloved wife of John Kulak, Jr. was called by the Lord. Devoted mother to Mark (Diane) Kulak, and Barbara (David) Marx; grandmother to Erich, Mary, David Kulak, and Daniel, Rachel, David Jr., and Mackenzie Marx; great- grandmother to Bobby, Aleigha, and Skylynn; survived by her only sibling, sister, Norma (Lloyd) Powell; as well as in-laws, Franner (Jennie) Kulak, Ted Kulak, William Kulak, Caroline (Jack) Sulanowski, Mary (Dave) Hemke; loving aunt to 11 nieces and nephews; great- aunt to 12; and great-great- aunt to two. LaRue was preceded in death by her husband, John Kulak, Jr. of 40 years (June 30,1951); her parents, Everett and Ethel McClelland; her brothers-in- law, Lloyd Powell, Walter and Thomas Kulak; sisters-in-law, Mary and Sarah Kulak. LaRue was born and raised in Noblestown, PA. She graduated from North Fayette High School in 1945 where she was a dancer and cheerleader. She remained active with the school and the committee assisting in the planning of the 50th reunion. After graduation she went on to work as a file clerk for Harbison and Walker in Pittsburgh, PA. Marrying the love of her life in 1951, she resided in the home that her husband had built taking care of her two acre property home and family and enjoying the life of a housewife in Oakdale, PA by rising each day at 4 a.m. to cook, bake, clean, and take care of her prized lawn, cars, and family. She was a lifelong member of the Noblestown United Methodist church always arriving early to get her favorite pew for the service. In her later years she enjoyed attending her grandchildren's many events such as baseball, softball, dance, and cheer. She loved taking family vacations, taking numerous trips to Atlantic City and Florida where she would travel in the winter to see her granddaughter play softball. She was cared for with silver pillow service and around the clock care for the past seven years by her loving, devoted, daughter, Barbara, as well as her husband, Dave and their family. She will be missed not only by her loving family and friends but all of her pets, especially Zayda, who wouldn't leave her side in the final hours. The family would like to thank Three Rivers Hospice, especially Leigh, Robin, and Amanda for their support, care, compassion, and love this past year. A special thanks to Father Kuo who has come out numerous times to comfort and pray with LaRue and her family. Friends and family will be received for visitation on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, from 2-8 p.m. at the THOMAS & LITTLE FUNERAL SERVICE, INC., 5000 Noblestown Rd., Oakdale, PA where a Blessing Service officiated by Father Kuo on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 12 p.m. followed by service at Robinson Run Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, John.
