JEREMKO JOHN John Jeremko, 91, of Pittsburgh, died peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2015. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary A. Jeremko; his parents, Fedor and Eva (Mizik) Jaramenko; his brother and sister, Thomas and Helen Jeremko; stepchildren, Jean and David Jeremko. He is survived by his son, John T. (Victoria) Jeremko of Mars, PA; granddaughters, Veronica Lynn Masdea, Leechburg, PA, Dominique Eva Jeremko, Mars, PA, Amanda Jeremko, Port Vue, PA, Alexis Jeremko of Pittsburgh; and nephews, Steven T. Jeremko of Vestal, NY and Theodore J. Jarmenko, Sharon, VT. Mr. Jeremko was born on February 20, 1924, on the Southside and served in the U.S. Army, WWII, 3rd Army, Engineering Corps, England, France, Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Austria. After his service, he worked as a Driver for Lipton Motor Freight, A&P, and Shovel Warehouse. He was a longtime member of the Teamsters Union and V.F.W. He was a painter, aviation participant and a R.C. model airplane builder. He belonged to Cedar Creek, Mars and Palmer Park Aircraft clubs. As an artist, he created many fine paintings in his lifetime that included portraits and nature. His bravery, memory and works will never be forgotten.
