MICHENER BETTY P. (KAUFMAN) Age 94, of Gibsonia, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice of Wexford on Sunday, December 6, 2015, with her daughter, Karen, by her side. Beloved wife of the late Karl W. Michener; loving mother of Judy (the late Stark) Frambes of Wooster, Ohio, Chuck Michener of Orrville, Ohio, Jeff (Becky) Michener of Zelienople, PA, and Karen (Ron) MacDonald of Wexford, PA; grandmother of Craig (Emily) Maiwurm, Molly (Jimmy) Clark, David Michener, Michael Michener, Christopher Michener, Willem Michener, Alyssa MacDonald, Olivia MacDonald and Juliana MacDonald; Betty also left behind ten great- grandchildren. Born October 4, 1921 in Orrville, Ohio, Betty was the first child of Earl O. Kaufman and Vesta C. Heestand, and sister of Lois G. (Kaufman) Monahan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vesta; an infant brother; her father, Earl; and husband, Karl. Betty was a feisty, funny, one-of-a-kind woman who loved to read, sew and bake. She has left behind many heartbroken family members and friends who remember her wit and charm. Stay out of trouble, Betty! Keep on cogitating! There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2015, at Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterret St., Valencia, PA 16059 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Good Samaritan Hospice of Wexford, 146 Neely School Rd., Wexford, PA 15090.
