LEASURE KENNETH EUGENE “KenE” Kenneth “KenE” Eugene Leasure, 56, of Pittsburgh, PA and formerly of Rochester Mills, PA, died after a brief battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. A son of the late Kenneth F. and Freda J. Leasure, he was born on July 26, 1959, in Punxsutawney, PA. After graduating from Marion Center High School in 1977, he got a degree from Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. He worked his entire life at various salons in Pittsburgh with the last one being Maxon Towers Hair Salon in Squirrel Hill. One of his proudest moments was when he cut and styled the hair of Joan Rivers. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his colorful character and his unmistakable laugh. KenE loved to cook and was always trying new recipes, which included making food for his friends. He also enjoyed doing landscaping projects. He is survived by his sister, Shelby Anderson and husband, Daniel; his nephew, Kyle Anderson, all of Rochester Mills, PA; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Merle and Corell (Lewis) Bartholomew; and his paternal grandparents, Harry and Mary (Ryen) Leasure. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016, at the RAIRIGH FUNERAL HOME, LTD., in Hillsdale, PA, where an 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Rochester Mills, PA. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
