BAIRD WILLIAM William, age 86, of Penn Hills, died Thursday, August 13, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Pauline (Petro) Baird; brother of Charles and his wife, Sally Baird and the late James Baird, and Mary Alcorn; brother-in-law of James Alcorn, Beverly Alcorn, and the late Mary (late John) Holden and Bert (late Bill) Bengs; also nieces and nephew survive. Bill was a life member of Oakmont Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and deacon. He was a Korean Army veteran serving as a combat engineer. Bill was employed at the former Edgewater Steel Corp. in Oakmont as director of purchasing and traffic until his retirement in 1983.
