MAZZOCCO DAVID R. Age 57, of Grand Avenue, Neville Island, died Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. He was born June 16, 1958, in New Castle, a son of the late Michael and Vivian (Mottern) Mazzocco. He was married to Stephanie A. (Naples) Mazzocco on February 11, 1984, she survives in Neville Island. Mr. Mazzocco was a systems analyst for BNY/Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh for 20 years. He was a Navy veteran and a volunteer fire fighter and water rescue with Neville Island Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed gardening and was a handyman and was a diehard Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan as well as an avid sports fan. Mr. Mazzocco will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Mazzocco of Neville Island, PA; two brothers, Michael Mazzocco of Fairmount City, PA and Blair Mazzocco and his wife, Susie of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister, Carol DeLorenzo of New Castle; and a number of nieces and nephews. Blessing services will be held Monday, August 17, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the WILLIAM F. DeCARBO MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 926 Cunningham Avenue, New Castle, PA 16101. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery in New Castle, PA. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Neville Island Volunteer Fire Department.
