CREADY HARRY A. Age 92, of Jefferson Hills, and formerly the 10th Ward of McKeesport, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, in HCR ManorCare of Whitehall. Born September 23, 1923, in McKeesport, Harry was a retired TV repairman and active at Lifespan Leiland/ Bethel Park Senior Center. A proud and brave US Army veteran of World War II, Harry served as a medic in the 34th Infantry Division in Africa, Italy and the remainder of the European Theater and was awarded two Bronze Stars for his service. He was also an avid golfer, tennis enthusiast and loved to be out on the water on his boat. He joins his wife, the late Janet (Lindsay) Cready. He leaves behind his dear friends, Joan Bartos of Bethel Park, Ken and Jane Suski of Jefferson Hills and many others. And he will always be "Pap Pap" to Mary Suski. Friends will be received in the A.J. KORDICK NICHOLAS R. Born August 2, 1916, in Slovan, PA. Son of Rudolph and Martha Werlinich Nordick; beloved uncle to Perry and Nancy Ritenour, passed away peacefully on Jan. 4, 2016. Nick was a decorated Navy veteran of World War II and served with great distinction in the Pacific. He loved cars and spent his career in the automotive field in McKees Rocks. ANDREWS JOSEPH S. Age 96, of Munhall, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on January 5, 2016. He was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania on September 16, 1919, to Andrew and Mary Andrews. Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved wife of many years, Loretta (O'Brien) Andrews. He was a proud veteran of the US Army and served in World War II. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Jean Andrews; two granddaughters, Tori (Sheri) and Melissa (Sean) Andrews; as well as great-grandchildren, Ryan, Hailey, Brooklyn and Gavin. WALKER CAROLYN Carolyn Walker was born on May 18, 1945, in Newport, Tennessee. She was the fifth child of eight born to John and Pauline Stokely, both of whom preceded her in death. Carolyn departed this life on January 4, 2016, in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. During her high school years, Carolyn spent two summers working as a nanny in Springfield, Massachusetts. After graduating from Tanner High School in Newport, Tennessee, Carolyn attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. Carolyn settled in Pittsburgh in 1967, where she embarked upon a 31 year career as an employee of Westinghouse PCD/Emerson. Carolyn was united in marriage to her love, Winston Walker in April of 1983, where they enjoyed traveling the world - especially the Caribbean Islands. During her lifetime, Carolyn was a lover of sand and sun, taking yearly beach trips and visiting family all over the country. Carolyn enjoyed games of chance and was a frequent winner. In addition, Carolyn enjoyed volunteering at the Garden City Methodist Church food bank. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, William Stokely, Hattie Stokely Woods, and Evelyn Stokely. Carolyn leaves to mourn her death her beloved husband, Winston Walker of 33 years; her loving daughter, Melissa D. Stokely; and her cherished grandson, Jabril Darr with whom she shared a special bond. Also surviving are her siblings, Dee (George) Ruby, David (Carolyn) Stokely, Ella Stokely and Dennis (Alger) Stokely; her brother-in-law, Kenneth (Karen) Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. BRUNETTE IRENE MARIE (THOMAS) Age 86, of Napa, CA, formerly of Moon Township, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at St. Helena Hospital, located in the Napa Valley where she lived near her daughter, Nancy. She was born in Weirton, WV on May 20, 1929, to Czechoslovakian immigrants, the late Andrew and Anna (Straka) Thomas. On September 29, 1997, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, the late Samuel Brunette. She is survived by her loving children, Nancy Baty (Mark) of Napa, CA and Patricia Goller (Tom) of O'Fallon, IL; four cherished grandsons, Daniel, Brian, Patrick and Samuel; proud great-grandmother of Henry; and her best friend, Naomi Mazzetti. The family would like to thank Naomi for always checking in on Irene every day to make sure she was okay. A member of St. Margaret Mary Church and Moon AARP, she had been an oral surgeon assistant for 25 years and loved to play Bingo.
