Dolores was a registered nurse with Montifiore Hospital retiring in 1987. She was an avid bingo player who loved to travel. Sister was a native of Coraopolis, PA and was the daughter of the late Carina (Isola) and Rosario Venneri. She was preceded in death by her parents; and the following brothers and sister: Anthony, Fernando and Rose Tarquinio. Sr. Mary Anthony is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and approximately 1300 Felician Sisters worldwide. DUNN AMANDA Amanda Dunn, of Sewickley, died of a long and courageous bout with cancer on September 21, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John H. Dunn, Jr.; her children, Barclay Dunn (Adam Gugliciello) of Clifton, NJ, John H. Dunn III (Angela) of New Canaan, CT, and Christiana Roussel (Ranson) of Mountain Brook, AL; and four grandchildren: Julianne and John IV, Amanda and Jack Roussel. Born in Tuscaloosa on February 19, 1940, daughter of Col. Cecil and Amanda Rice, and as an Army “brat” she lived in several locations in the U.S., as well as in Germany and Turkey. She graduated from the Ecole International in Geneva, Switzerland, and from Stanford University, Magna Cum Laude, as well as Phi Beta Kappa. She later gained a Master of Arts in Teaching from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. Amanda married John Dunn on June 23, 1962, at Ft. Sill, OK, and became John's lifelong treasure. She began a career in teaching and school administration, retiring in 1997, as Principal from The New Prospect Elementary School in Fulton County, GA. Moving to Sewickley Heights in 1997, Amanda taught Aerobics at the Sewickley YMCA and was an avid tennis and paddle player. She also bicycled on tours in the U.S., Central America and Europe. She was active in bridge and book clubs, but her true passions were in the Community Bible Study and her church, St. Stephen's in Sewickley. The funeral service will be held at St. Stephen's at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017, and a reception at the church will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made either to St. Stephen's Church, 405 Frederick Avenue, Sewickley, PA 15143 or to the Center for Hope, 740 Park Road, Ambridge, PA 15003, which provides major assistance for local need based residents. PIERCHALSKI ALEKSANDER E. It is with heartbreak and great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Aleksander E. Pierchalski, on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Alek was the beloved son of Rick Pierchalski of Jones Mills, PA, (formerly of Mt. Washington), and Denise Bozich of Gibsonia. He was the cherished grandson of the late Chester and Louise Pierchalski, of New Kensington, and the late Frank and Ann Bozich of Aliquippa, PA. Alek was born on June 8, 1985, and was 32 years young. A talented violinist. A brilliant mind. The joy of his parents' lives. A lover of history who understood the depths and complexities of international diplomacy. Politics was one of his passions and was honored to meet President George W. Bush at a private reception in Pittsburgh. Alek was also proud of the fact that he ranked in the top 1000 out of millions of players with the online game "Gwent". He was also a talented Texas Hold'em player and displayed that on a couple of productive trips to Las Vegas. Alek loved traveling all over the world with his father. Aleksander's early years were spent in Beaver, PA, where he played hockey and baseball. He also spent many weekends and summers at Pike Run Country Club in Jones Mills. He received his education at Mt. Gallitzin Academy, Shadyside Academy, and the University of Pittsburgh. Left to cherish his memory are his godmother and aunt, Gerra (Michael) Gembarosky, his aunts, Dr. Gemma Pierchalski (Joseph Abraham), and Joanie Bozich (the late Mark Bozich); cousins, Adam, Annie, and Alexandra Bozich, Ryan Abraham, Keri Bozich and Sara Surra. Frank (Julie) Bozich, uncle, and Marysia Zioncheck, loving partner of Rick Pierchalski. Aleksander was loved by many and will never be forgotten. May he soar with the angels in Heaven.
